A motivated and seasoned e-commerce specialist and frontend developer with a strong track record in the retail sector. With over 12 months experience working as a dedicated developer in fashion retail, I also have another 4+ years of experience in directing and executing growth strategies for a direct-to-consumer (DTC) home and garden e-commerce brand.

An experienced team player who wishes to grow and progress faster, by leveraging expertise in e-commerce operations, analytics and a strong understanding of UX to drive growth for businesses.   • Leveraging KPI analysis to inform and implement A/B testing strategies aimed at improving UX and boosting conversion rates. This drove a 50%+ increase in add-to-cart rates and improved conversion rates by over 35% year-on-year.

  • Created and deployed a custom Shopify app that tracks the discount percentages off all products in the store by updating a metafield automatically. This allows us to offer sale related filtering in smart collections and customer PLP filters.

  • Played a key role in reducing site wide average page load times from ~4 seconds to under 2.4 seconds on average.

  • Led the frontend development and was part of technical integration team for the newly launched, dedicated B2B wholesale store — developing custom features like customer-specific credit limits, payment terms, and pro forma ordering for independent retail partners.

  • Successfully designed, developed, and launched an e-commerce store for the family business, achieving an impressive projected revenue increase of over £400k in the current year, on track to surpass £1m in the next twelve months.

  • Redesigned and rebuilt from scratch the company's e-commerce website on Shopify 2.0, eliminating the need for four third-party apps and saving over £150 per month while improving website speed scores by over 100%.

  • Managed the integration of multiple software and services, including in-store ePOS, inventory systems, online order management, and the website.

  • Presented with the diploma required to become a domestic energy assessor (DEA) for real estates in the UK. This achievement resulted in me being able to carry out accurate energy assessment surveys on homes, registering the results into a controlled UK governing body system. EPC reports remain a legal requirement when selling or renting homes.

  • Managed all vendors and subsequent property listings/marketing

  • Face to face communication, creating compelling pitches for property viewings and open days

Achievements

  • From a standing start I was able to garner a 50%+ increase in add-to-cart rates, and improved overall average conversion rates by over 35% year-on-year. This was achieved by building out the required analytic KPI tracking combined with CRO and frontend development led by best practices and A/B testing.

  • Delivered a new brand identity for Snape & Sons. Through carefully defined objectives and KPI’s, the business realised a 20% increase in revenue. Strategy, design, and execution was at the heart of what was an undoubted success. Initiated further benefits including a loyalty card scheme which tracks customers and rewards repeat business.

  • Within the competitive and challenging real estate market, I took responsibility for the sale of property which, despite various sales strategies, had remained on the market for a significant period. Through careful planning in both marketing and pricing positions I achieved a profitable sale on the property, managing the project through to completion. A proud achievement as it was both my first sale and a notoriously difficult assignment.
